*DTFTD:
Beleivers should rejoice in their salvation. They should enjoy the blessings of being part of God’s family. However believers should also take time to consider how much God delights in being their heavenly Father. Ephesians 1:11 speaks of God’s resolve to make the saints his very own - a people who would be his heritage. According to Greek scholar Kenneth Wuest the best Greek texts have, not, “we have obatined an inheritance,” but “we were made an inheritance.” God’s “counsel” set in motion his willful determination to offer redemption by grace through Christ for the purpose of making the redeemed his very own people. When you rejoice in salvation, remember God is rejoicing with you.
*EDS:
God delights in being our Heavenly Father.
INGREDIENTS: A reminder that God delights in our being his children. Word Study: Greek “boule” – “counsel” – resolve, determination. God didn’t wish we would be his – He determined we would be.
